A little video captured during a February snow storm. Thanks Ceci Frost!
Winter Wonderland
Photographer Ceci Frost stayed with us a couple weeks ago and captured some gorgeous photos of our little Lodge after a little snowfall. Enjoy!
Vibrant Space
Meredith & Julie from the Blog and website Vibrant Space stayed at Noon Lodge last Fall and were kind enough to send over a bunch of pictures they took. Right now as we are deep in the middle of winter and slushy muddy snow we are missing these Fall colors, lush foliage and easy access to our pool and bocce court.
OctoberFest in Big Bear
Josh McNair, from the very popular website, California Through My Lens recently stayed at Noon Lodge and documented his weekend in Big Bear during October Fest. We were happy to host him and to get a little highlight in his video reel.
Josh has running his website with the help of my wife for over five years. In that time, it has been viewed more than 10 million times from countries all over the world and has been written about or mentioned in places like the LA Times and Good Morning America.
Naohmi Monroe
Los Angeles based photographer Naohmi Monroe recently stayed with us and snapped some fun shots we thought we would share on here. Enjoy...
A little J + K
A couple months ago the cute family behind the blog A little J + K stayed with us at Noon Lodge. They wrote an entire post about family friendly activities to do in Big Bear and we highly recommend checking out their entire post.
But for now here is a sneak peak of their thoughts about our little Lodge along with tons of photos of their adorable family.
"We've headed to Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay for the past three years and it's the perfect place for families big and small, fun friend getaways or even a romantic staycation. They have accommodations for parties of up to seven. We booked their biggest cabin with my parents and siblings one year and we all loved it. It is located on a quiet street right off the lake and only a few minutes from Big Bear Village full of shops and snow play fun. One of my favorite things about it is the look and feel. They are cabins from the 50's that have been redone with the cutest modern designs. It's literally full of Instagram worthy photo spots. Plus there are fun little activities for the whole family, like lawn games, a pool for summer time, lots of cute picnic spots and my favorite, the fire pits by the lake. It's my favorite spot to sit and enjoy the sunset and of course s'mores with my family."
A Fall Wedding
Today we are featuring the wedding of Shayla and Vince Tropiano, they got married at Noon Lodge way back in September but we thought the pictures of their big day were too good not to share here.
Their photographers are the cutest husband/wife duo and they also photographed an elopement here at Noon Lodge almost 2 years ago. They are pros on the Big Bear area and our property. If you are getting married up here we highly recommend them! Check out their website by clicking here.
The photographers, the DeLauras, created a whole blog post for Vince & Shaylas wedding so we stole a couple of the questions that highlight why they loved Noon Lodge as a venue...
How and why did you pick your venue and or wedding details:
We loved that we could have a good portion of our guests stay right there at Noon Lodge and that we could have our Welcome BBQ and coffee mornings around the fireplace there. We loved the look and feel of the cabins room & the firepits outside.
How did you make your wedding day special and make it about the two of you??!
We wanted a relaxed woodsy venue with chill vibes. We included specific music we love, drinks we love (beer, wine and margaritas), created a camp type atmosphere in which people could hang around the firepits after the reception/dancing.
If you or someone you know is interested in having a wedding check out our wedding tab and hit us up. We love Weddings!
Article in Vanity Fair
When the folks at Vanity Fair reached out and asked to include us in an article they were doing on California Cabin Rentals we were thrilled to say the least. We got to be included with the Ojai Rancho Inn and Jt Homesteader Cabins, two places we love and adore and couldn't be honored to be clumped together with. You can read the full article below and here is a link to the online version.
A Photoshoot for Homestead Organic
When a brand new Sheet company called Homestead Organic reached out and asked if they could photograph their product in our Cabins we were happy to collaborate. Just checking out their website and instagram we could tell their branding was right in line with our aesthetic. And we got to test out some of their new sheets and let me tell you they are good!
