The Last Wedding of 2021

Brittiney & David were our final wedding of the 2021 season and it was such a beautiful one to end on. There were so many special & unique touches to this wedding from the beautiful ceremony backdrop to the gorgeous table scapes and adorable seating charts. It is always so fun to see what each couple comes up with and these two did not disappoint. There were too many great photos to choose from so we will just let the pictures speak for themselves.

An American + Indian Wedding

This sweet couples wedding was such a fun celebration. Dianna & Kevin really took advantage of the entire weekend and hosted TWO wedding ceremonies. It was very important to them that they honor and celebrate both their families cultures and what better way to do that than two different parties!

On Friday evening they held the traditional American wedding ceremony and on Saturday afternoon & evening it was an Indian party and celebration called a Mehndi Party. Per tradition their guests paraded the groom all around the property until they ended in the center of Noon Lodge where his bride was waiting for him. You can see the levels of excitement and joy on everyones faces in these pictures they sent over to us. This was such a special and unique celebration and we are so honored that they chose to celebrate at Noon Lodge.

A Beautiful August Wedding

Weddings are quickly becoming the highlights of summer months here at Noon Lodge. We just love meeting all these amazing couples and their friends and families. And nothing beats getting to see the joy & happiness as they celebrate what we hope is the best weekend of their lives.

Albert & Lauren were no exception and we are so happy we can share some photos from their beautiful day!

Why did you pick Noon Lodge for your wedding venue?

My husband actually came across this place on instagram. The day he proposed to me he said he wanted to check this venue out and knew it was perfect. Big Bear was a big part of his childhood and when we started dating, We would come with his family and since then it has always had a special place in our hearts. Big Bear was our dream wedding destination and Noon Lodge was just perfect! We absolutely loved it.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding?

Our favorite memory of the wedding was the enjoyment of our families being together. We haven't been able to see each other or get together as a family in such a LONG time, especially due to the pandemic. This really was a special moment and to see both our families and friends come together which meant that much more to us.

What about Noon Lodge made your wedding feel special and unique?

The fact that our immediate family and friends were able to stay in the same spot the whole weekend made it that more special to us. I am not kidding, everyone who stayed there loved the fact that our families were able to stay together and didn't have to worry about driving down the mountain. It was a great date night/weekend for our families. Every minute of our wedding was perfect. We would do it all over again if we could.

Nikki + Logan’s Colorful Wedding

Why did you pick Noon Lodge for your wedding venue?

We knew that we wanted a whole weekend of celebrations! Since most of our guests were from LA, we looked around some favorite SoCal vacation spots hoping it would give our guests an excuse to come for the whole weekend. We stumbled upon Noon Lodge and it seemed like a dream come true to have nearly our whole wedding stay on site for the long weekend! We fell in love immediately.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding?

There are so many to choose from but one of our favorite memories was a dance-off that we had in the middle of the reception! Inspired by one of our favorite artists, we asked our guests to split down the middle then compete with us in a dance-off where each side mimicked one leader. It was something I wanted to incorporate early on since we didn't have a traditional bouquet toss or anything and it turned out SO FUN!

What about Noon Lodge made your wedding feel special and unique?

Noon Lodge is truly the dream wedding venue. It felt like we had our own little Summer Camp full of friends and family for the whole weekend and made the whole experience magical. I loved seeing our friends relax by the pool during our rehearsal and we were even allowed to play our own music over the sound system, which made the space feel even more our own.

Highlighting a Wedding from June

Today we get to highlight another beautiful wedding from a darling couple. We asked them to share in their own words why they picked Noon Lodge as their venue and what about it made their weekend so special.

When we were looking for a wedding venue (this was pre-pandemic) we knew that we absolutely wanted to get married in Ian’s (the groom) home state. We gravitated towards Big Bear for the uniquely stunning scenery, especially during spring and summer. The Noon Lodge specifically stuck out to us as the perfect venue for a small, intimate wedding. We loved the idea of having our guests spend a whole weekend with us, turning it into a vacation or experience rather than just a wedding night. We knew many of our guests would appreciate the surroundings and all of the outdoor activities that pair with it, making for a really fun weekend all around. And it absolutely was! We even got a chance to jump in the pool, right before our rehearsal dinner. Many people got a chance to walk around the area and explore, on foot or by bike.

What was your favorite memory of your wedding?

Our favorite memory would probably be the late nights of the whole weekend, after all the festivities have died down for the most part, when it’s really quiet and dark outside, and you have an incredible view of the stars and moon. This is where all the best moments and conversations took place, around the fireplaces and balconies.

They also asked that we highlight and give a shout out to all their vendors.

Especially because of planning our wedding out of state (we now live in Indiana, the bride’s home state), we absolutely are so thankful for all our vendors who we really felt went above and beyond to make our day special.

A Beautiful May Wedding

natalia-chase-ceremony-89.jpg

After one of the craziest years of probably many of our lifetimes it has felt so good to start to get back to normal again. Our brides and grooms have been THROUGH it dealing with planning, rescheduling, canceling, and then planning again. Our hearts have gone out to every single couple that had their wedding affected by Covid-19.

Natalia and Chase are such a lovely couple and they certainly had to deal with their fair share of Covid hiccups but in the end they had the fairytale weekend they had always dreamed of. And we were thrilled that they were the first wedding to kick off our 2021 season!

Here is what they had to say about their wedding weekend at Noon Lodge…

We are still beaming from our wedding celebration last month on your beautiful property! We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend and are very grateful for your venue. Jesus was so accommodating and really helpful and deserves praise.

When we booked with Noon Lodge in 2018 we didn’t expect to endure a world pandemic and postpone our wedding twice. We are so grateful to you for allowing us to reschedule and truly making it as easy as possible for us. We found Noon Lodge by accident and from the moment we stepped onto your property, everything was perfect; down to the song that was playing on your background/ambiance soundtrack. Chase & I hope to return year after year with our friends/family to recreate a fun weekend getaway.

Winter Fun at Noon Lodge

Last week we had what will probably be the biggest storm of the season. We got over 2’ of snow overnight and Noon Lodge was a magical winter wonderland.

Nothing makes us happier than to see our guests up here enjoying themselves and our friend from over at @melrosehillestate planned her trip perfectly to make the most of all the fresh powder. She came up with some family and friends and they were able to capture their weekend with some great photos.

Now if only we could get another great snow storm because if these photos don’t make you want to head up to mountains ASAP we don’t know what will!

A 2020 Wedding!

image_6483441 9.JPG

Well 2020 was one for the books. A year of unprecedented times to be sure. Many of our Summer weddings found themselves postponing due to all the uncertainty but Baylee & Andrew were able to have the wedding of their dreams in the Fall of 2020 and the day was nothing short of perfection.

Here’s what Baylee had to say about why they chose Noon Lodge…

Andrew & I have gone up to Big Bear for my birthday for years, we eventually got engaged in Big Bear and felt like we just had to get married in Big Bear! I couldn’t find a venue for the life of me, one day I was watching wedding videos on YouTube & came across a wedding that looked like it could be my dream wedding venue. I did some research and of course it was Noon Lodge in our special place, Big Bear. We went to scope it out and fell in love with the place, the fact that our family could spend the weekend with us and we could celebrate our marriage for a whole weekend. It was a no brainer, Noon Lodge was the perfect place to tell our story at.

Throwing it back to an August wedding

This is the story of Danielle and Tommy and their mountain wedding here at Noon Lodge. As an outdoor loving couple, Noon Lodge was the perfect place for them to celebrate their love with all of their favorite people. They wanted their day to be authentically them, outdoors, and low key. They cared the most about bringing their friends and family together to enjoy good conversation, great food, and, of course, lots of dancing.

They got married on a beautiful summer day. While they got ready in the cabins around the property, guests were doing cannon balls and playing corn hole poolside. Unique and personal details were woven throughout the sacred moments of the ceremony. They made their promises under a Chuppah designed and built by Tommy and his dad, covered in florals designed by Danielle’s stepmom, and the Talit draped across was Danielle’s dads. They wrote and, between tears, shared personal vows with each other, which of course brought tears everyone else. The fresh mountain air surrounded their bodies and the sun danced across the water behind them as they became husband and wife.

They brought some LA food favorites out to Big bear to help celebrate: Guests enjoyed Guerrilla Tacos, chips, and guacamole lakeside. And they had pie instead of cake from The Pie Hole. And at sunset, they hopped in a canoe together and paddled along the the lake as the sky lit up with bright, pastel hues the stretched beyond the pine-filled horizon. They ended the night with a bonfire, and just what they hoped, lots of dancing.
