A couple months ago the cute family behind the blog A little J + K stayed with us at Noon Lodge. They wrote an entire post about family friendly activities to do in Big Bear and we highly recommend checking out their entire post.
But for now here is a sneak peak of their thoughts about our little Lodge along with tons of photos of their adorable family.
"We've headed to Noon Lodge at Mallard Bay for the past three years and it's the perfect place for families big and small, fun friend getaways or even a romantic staycation. They have accommodations for parties of up to seven. We booked their biggest cabin with my parents and siblings one year and we all loved it. It is located on a quiet street right off the lake and only a few minutes from Big Bear Village full of shops and snow play fun. One of my favorite things about it is the look and feel. They are cabins from the 50's that have been redone with the cutest modern designs. It's literally full of Instagram worthy photo spots. Plus there are fun little activities for the whole family, like lawn games, a pool for summer time, lots of cute picnic spots and my favorite, the fire pits by the lake. It's my favorite spot to sit and enjoy the sunset and of course s'mores with my family."
Today we are featuring the wedding of Shayla and Vince Tropiano, they got married at Noon Lodge way back in September but we thought the pictures of their big day were too good not to share here.
Their photographers are the cutest husband/wife duo and they also photographed an elopement here at Noon Lodge almost 2 years ago. They are pros on the Big Bear area and our property. If you are getting married up here we highly recommend them! Check out their website by clicking here.
The photographers, the DeLauras, created a whole blog post for Vince & Shaylas wedding so we stole a couple of the questions that highlight why they loved Noon Lodge as a venue...
How and why did you pick your venue and or wedding details:
We loved that we could have a good portion of our guests stay right there at Noon Lodge and that we could have our Welcome BBQ and coffee mornings around the fireplace there. We loved the look and feel of the cabins room & the firepits outside.
How did you make your wedding day special and make it about the two of you??!
We wanted a relaxed woodsy venue with chill vibes. We included specific music we love, drinks we love (beer, wine and margaritas), created a camp type atmosphere in which people could hang around the firepits after the reception/dancing.

When the folks at Vanity Fair reached out and asked to include us in an article they were doing on California Cabin Rentals we were thrilled to say the least. We got to be included with the Ojai Rancho Inn and Jt Homesteader Cabins, two places we love and adore and couldn't be honored to be clumped together with. You can read the full article below and here is a link to the online version.
When a brand new Sheet company called Homestead Organic reached out and asked if they could photograph their product in our Cabins we were happy to collaborate. Just checking out their website and instagram we could tell their branding was right in line with our aesthetic. And we got to test out some of their new sheets and let me tell you they are good!

When the folks from Visit California reached out to us and let us know they were going to film a Road Trip on the Rim of the World Highway and highlight places and things to do along the way we were thrilled to be a part and featured as the place to lay your head.
If you have ever driven up to Big Bear you have most likely driven on part of the Rim of the World Highway, maybe without even knowing it, and certainly missing out on some stops along the way. Watch the video below for some inspiration and tips for your next Road Trip.
Click HERE to read the full article for more of their tips and ideas of what to do in Big Bear Lake.
And here is a snippet of what they had to say about our little mountain Lodge, "Get on State Route 18 and head toward Big Bear Lake Village. Embrace the Alpine scenery on the western side of the Rim by staying in a modern version of a mountain cabin. The cottages of Noon Lodge, which first opened in the 1950s, have been renovated with cedar detailing, kitchens, fireplaces, and cheeky-cabin decor (as well as TVs and WiFi)."
Thanks Visit California for including us in your feature!
What Wegan Did Next is the Lifestyle, Love, and Travel Blog of Whitney & Megan Bacon Evans, a femme lesbian couple documenting their life and love in hopes of being lesbian role models. These two reside in the UK but were recently in California for their Palm Springs Wedding. While in California Visit California and Hertz sponsored them to put together some travel guides for several different cities and towns. Big Bear was on their list of destinations and we were lucky enough to be their accommodation of choice. Watch their Big Bear Lake VLOG to see quite a few features of our cute little Lodge.
Earlier this Fall we got to host the lovely family of Kytia L'amour, actress, model, singer, dancer, writer, and photographer from Hawaii living in sunny Southern California.
Kytia is currently working with large brands as a digital influencer and content creator and produces insightful and visually enticing videos for her quickly growing YouTube channel “It’s Only Reality”.
Here are a few more photos that Kytia took her during her weekend stay at Noon Lodge.
